Objet : RE: cross in the valais
hi quentin,
Thermals topping out at 5200m!!! Can this be true?
yes i think that could be true - it is not uncommon that people have to
take good care to not infringe airspace c at 3950/4650msl
the terrain is really up there, so the thermals trigger high…
I once flew from Fiesch to Andermatt and the next day I foolishly went west and hit stable air when people flew East all the way to Austria.
west can also be difficult because the valley winds reach up very
high. especially if the south-west wind blows in.
the furka/oberalp pass seem to be the key points to get to chur and
further…
So I’m interested for Thursday! Any idea how we get back from Davos?
cool!
getting back? sure -> http://www.sbb.ch
there is just a small problem i did not think off - the lifts in anzere
and crans montana are closed. but i try to contact the school in anzere
to see if we can get up with them.
cheers
jonas
